Choosing the Right Suppliers
The first step in your strategy is deciding which suppliers to use. Stay22 grants you immediate access to a range of suppliers including Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, TripAdvisor, Vrbo, Kayak, and Trivago. Here are some of our favorites:
- Expedia: Best for US-based audiences. Offers commissions on bundle deals (car, flight, and hotel) and a 7-day cookie window.
- Hotels.com: Ideal for both US and international audiences. Provides a 7-day cookie window for US users and a 30-day window for non-US users.
- Booking.com: Preferred by European and South American audiences.
- VRBO: Best option for providing vacation rental options as opposed to traditional hotels
Types of Affiliate Links
There are 3 main ways to integrate affiliate links with Stay22:
1. Specific Hotel Links:Specific hotel links point directly to a specific hotel in a particular destination. If you mention in your blog post the exact hotel you stayed at, you can find that hotel on any one of the supplier websites and insert that link into the content. Here’s an example of how that would look:
“We stayed at the Volcana View Hotel in Santorini, the pool and views we’re truly amazing and we definitely recommend anyone to stay there.”
The hyperlink is in the hotel's name, and you will earn commissions if anyone books through that link.
2. Destination Links:
Destination links point to a list of hotels at a particular destination. To insert one of these links, search the destination on a supplier's website and copy the URL. Here’s an example of how that would look:
“Looking for a place to stay in Santorini? Check out these amazing hotels”
3. Magic Links:
Magic links are unique to Stay22, and are powered by our AI technology. As a user, magic links look exactly like destination links. The magic part is that the AI analyzes the page's content and automatically selects the destination for you. This is great because you can create a link in your sidebar or default template that you never have to update. To insert a magic link, simply copy and paste the homepage of any one of the suppliers (www.hotels.com, www.booking.com, etc).
